I love to use SketchUp to show clients their space, because some people just can't visualise it.
You can show reference images, floor plans, whatever you can, but sometimes they just can't do it! So I like to do quick Sketchup renders to show clients.
Foyer Redesign.
In this job, this couple originally requested help with updating their apartment.
They were so happy with what we produced that they also asked us to redesign the shared foyer to their apartment, which was dark and uninviting.
I documented the design for the foyer and then did a quick mock up in SketchUp of what the foyer would look like with the finishes we suggested.
I don't spend days and days making super realistic renders, I produce simple renders with textures that would be similar to what we would use, just to give the client a better idea of their space.
